These spherical bearing flanges are for the agricultural industry. Parts are between five and six inches square, and material varies between 0.130 and 0.165 inches thick depending on customer requirements. Lindy provides these parts in three versions: 

  1. As stamped
  2. Case hardened and plated with zinc with a clear chromate
  3. Case hardened and plated with zinc with a yellow chromate

Our redesigned part countersunk the rivets. This eliminated the peal and stick gasket on 1.2 million parts per year and also eliminated the labor (and scrap) involved in the gluing operation. Total savings: approximately $130,000.00 per year.
